Antique & Collectible Knives – A Brief History and Overview

There are many seasoned sword and knife collectors who are interested in vintage, collectible, antique, vintage pocket knives, hunting knives, classic pistol knives, boar knives, throwing spikes, and stilettos.

An imperial collection of these antiques remains a source of pride and fantasy for antique lovers. There are many antique repositories that promote knife collections. They sell antique collectibles to knife lovers at unbelievable and great prices. Some of the antiques on the market are:

Vintage Cattaraugus “Sleeve Board Pen Knife” – This is a great old knife. The blades have a loud clicking sound. Nice gold celluloid handles.

Rare Old Utica Kutmaster “Northrup King Seeds” Stockman 3-Blade Advertising Knife – Large clip-on blade has a nice long nail pull. Alpaca reinforcements. Brass linings. Nice old advertising knife made in the USA.

Just the coolest little knife, Joseph Rodgers “Mini Sheepsfoot”: Handle is rough-textured black bone with an inlaid nickel silver oval shield (great for engraving). Blade has super strong; it opens and closes.

Rare Old A. KASTOR Coca Cola Advertising Knife: It has 2 blades: bottle opener and spear blade. The main blade is stamped “A. KASTOR BROS. NEW YORK” on one side and “COCA COLA BOTTLING” on the other side. Strong opening and closing click on both leaves.

Vintage case, proven XX knife, 2 “Equal End” blades with polished black handle – large clip blade is angled and has a good long nail puller. It has a small feather blade. It’s a rare old beauty with a sturdy blade and solid handles. It would be a great addition to any knife collection. They just don’t make them that way anymore.

Cattaraugus “Sunfish” vintage knife – has a hard-to-find pattern. This is a great old fashioned knife with full blades and strong snap. Flawless Honey Jigged Bone handles.

Rare old Lipic advertising knife “Make it better with Doughboy Climatized FEEDS” – The large spear point blade is sloped at the tip and has a nice long nail pull. The other is a bottle opener and a screwdriver. Strong opening and closing click on both leaves. This has a Lipic USA herringbone stamp.

Nice Old, Rare, “Buster Brown Health Shoes”, Camp Knife with Nice Openwork Bone Handle – This knife is in excellent condition. All blades have a loud snap. The large spear blade has a nice long deep nail pull and is sloped on both sides to the point. It has an embedded “BUSTER BROWN” shield. There is a herringbone stamp on the blade of the spear; Number 30 on the rear tang of the spear blade. This has cute alpaca gussets with beauty line.

Very old and rare “cockspur serrated knife” made by JM Vance & Company, a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, hardware wholesaler from 1776 to 1719.

Vintage 1920’s Cattaraugus “Sleeveboard” Knife – Comes in a hard to find pattern. This great antique knife comes with full blades and good snap.

1930’s Cattaraugus “Dog Bone” Vintage Knife – Extremely rare pattern has elegant spiral celluloid handles, with dog bone front and back bolsters, like a toothpick.

Mentioned above are just some of the vintage and collectible knives. All antiques are available used, but prized ones are rarely available in mint condition. The proud possession of such knives is a matter of luck and money, certainly.
