Baby shower home

I’ve never planned a welcome home party before, but I’m planning one. This is my daughter’s fourth baby, so I’m not having a baby shower. I am planning it for a time with family and friends and also for a big brother party. It will be a barbecue cookout with hot dogs and brats.

The only downside is that the date will be Saturday of the commemorative weekend. My hope is that the baby will be born by then and may be at least a week old. I have made a list of the decorations and food that will be included on the menu. An invitation is placed on social media so you can get an idea of how many will be planning to attend before confirming your attendance. I also bought paper cups, plates, and plastic items at a dollar store.

I had already planned what foods I wanted to eat and also made a guest list to call. I am also informing my guests about the plan to make it a big brother party. Having guests of honor from the 3 brothers was a great idea, they said. When it comes to decorating and mounting, you will most likely do it when you go early in the week. My husband will grill the hot dogs and brats and I will buy the salads and sides the day before.

Well, while I was planning this party, my daughter had her baby 6 days ahead of schedule and that went really well and it was a good thing. It went so well that I was able to include my daughter and her husband in planning the party.

She had a photographer come to take pictures of the family at the beginning of the week when we came down. This photographer took pictures of the whole group, small groups and individually. In the end, the baby was sleeping and his individual photos were taken in an instant as he was changed for different clothes and using different backgrounds. Everything went wonderfully well.

The week went by quickly with planning and gathering RSVPs. The little one had time to meet his older brothers and they felt comfortable with him.

Inspired by the holiday weekend, many friends and family decided to come to the party. The climate was cooperative and the garage and house were decorated. The food was well received by those who came to celebrate the little boy and his family. The pastor and his wife came and dedicated the little boy to the Lord. It was a great day and everyone had a wonderful visit. Everyone welcomed the new little one and congratulated the older siblings and mom and dad.
