Allowing

In the past week I have had two deep healings that have really affected my heart’s ability to let in the Divine Grace of healing. Love is another word for the Divine.

We all have mental constructs about where that Divine healing energy comes from, and all too often we see the Divine as an old man sitting on a cloud, judging us normally. Or we see the Divine only within ourselves, so nothing from the outside will affect us.

So it is very difficult to open up and give up and allow what our mind believes to be God, if we have these insecure perceptions.

Colour

The first cure came with the use of color.

And if the Divine were a color, what color would it be?

For me this week it was Pink. Soft baby pink. I could allow my whole being to open up and let that pink in. It may sound simple, but opening up and surrendering is a big part of healing, that process is the magic of transformation.

You may find that you can create the same effect by looking at your pet, your child, or something that allows you to feel unconditional love. Softening and opening the heart is the first step.

Fear of giving up

For many people who have been hurt or abused, opening up and surrendering and allowing something to come in is very scary, but if you can change that image of what you are letting in to something that is so comforting and safe, then you’ve given the first He passed.

It can be a journey to get to this point, not an event.

Sufism

The second experience I had this week of letting in the healing power of love was when I took a Sufi course with Dr. Ibrahim Jaffe. He did an exercise with us and I realized that for me, especially, where I placed the Divine, where I saw the Divine, how I saw the Divine, were all factors in how I opened up.

Before I had seen the Divine coming through the top of my head through the crown chakra and down into my heart, and if I wanted to give up, it felt like I was doing some kind of mental gymnastics inside of me. It also kept the energy in my head, in those higher chakras.

Spatial awareness

What he got us to do was put whatever our problem was, in front of us, on a carpet, to see it there, to set our intention for God to heal it for us, and then imagine this wonderful glorious light shining. on this topic, or see Angels surrounding this topic. There was more to it than that, but that was the essence.

Usually I feel things first, but this time I saw the light, not so much from my third eye but from my heart. Perhaps before now I was not ready to release control and put my problem outside of me, but I think that because I could allow the energy of color to enter, I saw and felt the powerful healing presence wash over my problem and shine through to the end. . where I was witnessing it.

Witnessing

Many techniques use this special dynamic where you put something outside of yourself, in front of you, maybe a movie screen, and watch it transform with whatever technique you are using.

Witnessing this transformation is also part of healing.
