What’s it all about?

Travel back in time begins when visitors enter Orlando Castle in Kissimmee and find themselves in medieval Spain. For two hours, brave knights mounted on trusty steeds engage in awe-inspiring sword fights and jousting tournaments, set against a backdrop of electric music and lighting. Colorful costumes, wonderful horsemanship, hand-to-hand combat, and falconry all add to the entertainment. Amidst the excitement, a story of love and courage set in the 11th century unfolds, as guests are served a delicious four-course feast.

Choose your favorite knight and cheer him on. Choose between Don Iofre Santa Creuthe the Black and White Knight, Don Alberto del Mau the Blue Knight, Don Eduardo del Rey the Yellow Knight, Baron Ruiz de Roig the Red Knight, Don Temple the Green Knight or Lord del Font the Red and Yellow Knight .

What’s for dinner?

True to the times, diners are encouraged to eat with their hands. Delicious treats to feast on include roast chicken, herb potatoes, pork ribs, garlic bread, tomato soup and castle pastry. The banquet includes two rounds of non-alcoholic beverages and coffee to finish. But do not worry; there is also a full service bar available as well.

The vegetarian feast includes hummus with warm pita bread and carrot and celery sticks, three-bean stew and rice, Italian ice cream or fresh fruit, and non-alcoholic beverages. Vegetarian visitors are advised to request this option when making their reservation.

What else is there to see and do?

Once guests have had their fill, the medieval torture museum and artifacts in the Hall of Arms make for an interesting look. However, those who wish to dance to the excesses of the four-course feast will also find a dance floor and bar for non-stop fun into the night.

When is the best time to go and how much does it cost?

The Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament is a very popular attraction in Orlando, so it’s best to make reservations to avoid disappointment. Adult tickets are $59.95 and children under 12 are $39.95. This does not include taxes and the processing fee or tips. Children under the age of 3 are free, but must sit in the parent’s span.

The Castle opens 75 minutes before the show. This gives visitors plenty of time to pick up some souvenirs from the gift shop and watch the knighting ceremonies and the master falconer with his birds of prey. However, seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, so visitors may want to save the gift shop until after the show.
