The top ten wide receivers in the NFL

Here is my list of the best wide receivers in the NFL during the 2008 season.

10. Steve Smith: He has a lot of experience since he’s been to a Super Bowl. He’s been good for most of his career. This season he has four touchdowns and nearly 700 receiving yards.

9. Santana Moss: Stronger than others on this list. You never know when Moss is going to hit him deep, but when he does, watch out! He averages 14.3 yards per reception.

8. TJ Houshmandzadeh: His name is as difficult to spell as it is for defensive backs to cover him. He’s having a stellar year in 2008. It would be even better if he had a good quarterback throwing the ball at him.

7. Roddy White: Now that they have a good quarterback in Atlanta, Roddy White has prospered. He already has 900 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns!

6. Brandon Marshall: Marshall is already starting to have success this year with Cutler pitching him. He caught 18 receptions in a game this year against the San Diego Chargers, who set a record for the most in a game.

5. Reggie Wayne: Now that he’s further removed from the shadow of Marvin Harrison, Wayne is playing as well as ever. It has been one of Peyton Manning’s main goals for the past four years and it will only develop further.

4. Larry Fitzgerald: Now that Kurt Warner has been on fire, Fitzgerald will too. His stats have been incredible so far, he has almost 940 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns.

3. Greg Jennings: It has been really impressive this year as it was practically unknown before this season. Aaron Rodger loves to pass it off and will continue to do so. He has five touchdowns and averages 86 yards per game.

2. Calvin Johnson: Nicknamed ‘Megatron’ probably because of his size and build and the fact that he is ruthlessly efficient. There is no corner of Optimus Prime that seems capable of protecting him. This is in addition to the fact that he has an unnamed quarterback pitching to him and he still has impressive numbers. It will be the main objective not for Roy Williams to go to Dallas.

1. Anquan Boldin: If there’s a guy you know is going to hit the ball when you throw a hail, Boldin is that guy. He’s one of Kurt Warner’s favorite targets in that impressive Cardinals offense. Most Super Bowl teams seem to have a Michael Irvin or Jerry Rice type guy. Well, the Cardinals are lucky to have two high-caliber receivers.
