Since the Wii U’s launch on November 12 last year, it’s been at the center of some mixed reviews and much discussion about Nintendo’s current business model. It launched with some good games, but it took the entire first year to branch out and really start to get some solid, unique titles. At $349.99 for the 32GB “Deluxe” model, it has struggled to reach its target market by competing with PS3 and Xbox 360. That may not change with the upcoming Xbox One and PS4, but Wii U is seeing a drop priced at $50 on September 20, and either way it shouldn’t be ruled out just yet.

The system is a nice piece of hardware; it feels robust and not cheap, despite being slim and streamlined. Even after being on for hours, it doesn’t get hot or make much noise. It has HDMI and composite outputs (comes with an HDMI cable), an SD card slot, and 4 USB ports. The Wii U comes with 8GB or 32GB of system memory that is expandable with a USB hard drive (up to 2TB), so plenty of memory can be added if you ever need it. Being able to buy a base system with some memory and expand it that much should be cheaper than what current systems have been doing at least. Even though it has a USB slot, you can’t use SD cards to download games, that’s just for Wii stuff and saved games.

Much of the discussion and controversy is based on how it compares to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and the upcoming next generation systems. Honestly, the Wii U games look good, with very modern and clean HD graphics. new super mario u looks very strong and ZombieU (like most launch titles) it had some good stuff and some sloppy stuff in the graphics department. I haven’t experienced any framerate issues yet, which is a huge plus and more important than other parts of a game’s presentation. So is it really underpowered? On paper, yes, but remember that when the 360 launched, some of its games looked like Xbox games. The Wii U has some games that resemble current PS3 games. But look how far those systems have come in 6 years: the Wii U hardware is more current than the PS3 and 360, and it shows promise. The games on the way and those released since launch have shown some very nice HD graphical presentations and can really only get better over the years. Nintendo has a knack for getting the most out of its systems, just watch. super mario galaxy on the Wii.

The actual game is very interesting and very new, and at the same time feels familiar. Most of the WiiU experience (at least for now) involves the GamePad, which provides a dual-screen experience (your TV and the screen in your hand). Every game uses this differently and it can be as complicated a dual screen experience as the DS, or just used for maps and inventory or extra buttons and/or just to allow for TV play. ZombieU he uses it primarily for inventory and maps, but it’s also used for in-game events and as a camera, all great features that help flesh out the game. It also allows mini-events, such as picking locks, to be performed on the GamePad screen while the game on the TV changes views for optimal awareness of your surroundings. nintendo land It makes use of the Gamepad with more camera control, full gameplay, secondary buttons, and as an input device. balloon ride (Based on balloon fight for the NES), has you use the touch screen to control the wind and move your character. This is a very relaxed approach and is very reminiscent of many DS games and will probably show up in many casual titles. More recent titles like Pikmin 3 used it as a map and for off-TV play; the always-ready map allowed for fast multitasking. Of course, some games may not use the GamePad at all; possibly those developers targeting more “diehard” crowds will forgo it altogether. That would be a shame; the GamePad doesn’t really slow anything down and allows for more options. But using both the Pro controller and having the GamePad sit on its stand to use for other things could be a cool feature too.

The GamePad is an impressive and comfortable controller to use. It’s not too heavy and the handles make it easy to hold, relaxed on your lap or with one hand. All the buttons (familiar ABXY) feel very responsive. The D-pad feels classic and well sized and the joysticks are very responsive and clicky when used as buttons. The shoulder buttons – not triggers like the Gamecube controller, but buttons like the classic Wii pro controller – are well done. There’s a camera built into the controller that works well, plus loud and clear speakers. Battery life isn’t an issue – by the time it runs out, you should probably let your system take a break anyway. And while the system can’t charge the GamePad, the dock with the deluxe package makes it easy to charge and looks good on screen.

The Gamepad screen is the main focus and really brings a lot to the table. It’s just as responsive as the DS and 3DS touch screens, just much bigger and with pretty good resolution. It won’t be as clear as your HDTV screen, but it won’t look sloppy either. I also found that achieving quick taps with my thumbs is easy (even with my shortest fingers). The last thing it does is function as a remote for your cable box and TV. You can change the input on your TV or turn up the volume while you play without having to get up or use another remote control.

Nintendo has finally taken a big step towards online play and connectivity with Miiverse. Sure, you have video chat and friends lists, but MiiVerse integrates everything when you turn it on or play. MiiVerse as an app is essentially where you manage your friends and your profile, but it also doubles as a giant Nintendo forum or social hub where you post Twitter-like updates and photos of your gaming experiences. It also allows you to chat with friends; hopefully later you can send him a notification when your friend replies.

While all of this is great, the best part is how it integrates directly into games. when playing new super mario u, MiiVerse upgrades may appear on the world map related to each level. Or when you’re sitting in the Mii Plaza, the Miis that appear are basically talking using the MiiVerse posts. You can even see Miis appear in games; the best example right now is on nintendo land where they walk through the square of your theme park or appear in the background of the games. MiiVerse can also be accessed on the go while playing any game, so you can always update it or see what someone else is saying about the game. When you switch to MiiVerse, your game pauses and that screen is what you can post to MiiVerse if you wish. Some games may even implement a sort of achievement system where you’re asked to post to MiiVerse when you do something cool; new super mario u does this now.

All of this is linked to and used with a Nintendo Network ID, also known as your username. This makes it easy for users to find and make friends, a big and welcome change to the deservedly maligned friend codes. Unfortunately, these IDs are tied to the console where you log them; Surely this is related to some sort of privacy and protection policy, but it’s inconvenient if your system dies or you want to upgrade to a special color edition later on. Nintendo has hinted that it will change this, but nothing has happened yet.

The Wii U is backward compatible with Wii versions, and Wii U games are compatible with Wiimotes and other Wii accessories. Compatibility features for Wii games cause you to boot into a new menu. At this point, you will be using your Wiimote and only Wii accessories. Wii games actually play in 1080p, as do all menus and everything else. I played golden eye for a while and you can see a difference, both good and bad. Some things in the game look much smoother from the top level, but bugs or ugly filters stand out more; the cut scenes looked really gross. This is because it’s a higher resolution, but it’s not playing, no new filter or anything. This is not like emulation where new rendering processes can be applied; it’s just a resolution increase. You will get good things and bad things from playing Wii games on Wii U, it depends on the game. Either way, backwards compatibility is a nice and welcome feature.

All in all, I’m pretty happy with my Wii U and feel it has a promising future even after a very slow year. My Wii had its moments of constant gaming and heavy dust buildup and even if my Wii U meets the same kind of fate, I don’t feel like my money was wasted. The system was decently priced which is only better with the recent $50 drop and has already proven that it can be a lot of fun and opens up a world of new gameplay possibilities. As the game library grows, we’ll see some fun games; if you are a social gamer and social media lover then it can be a system to check just for that. The only issues the Wii U has are a sparse library, which should improve, and the fact that, despite being a good piece of hardware, it won’t hold up as well during this next generation of games. It’s a sharp HD system, but due to the small gap in power, it will eventually go back to being a Nintendo exclusive system.

Have you heard the hype about the Kindle Fire or seen commercials about Amazon’s new product on TV? People wonder what the Kindle Fire is. Being such a new product, there is not a lot of information about how it works and what the product has to offer to consumers.

Launching on November 15, 2011, Amazon’s new Kindle Fire gives you a product comparable to Apple’s iPad and other Android tablets. The most popular feature of the Kindle Fire is the price. It’s affordable, but offers many of the same features as its competitors. Since the Fire is new, many people ask what is inside the Kindle Fire. Here are some features you will find:

1. It has a web browser that allows the user to download popular apps like Hulu, Netflix, and Pandora, as well as email.

2. The Fire links to Amazon’s huge collection of books, videos, magazines and music. You can also download your own music and photos.

3. This table has a very clear and sharp 7-inch color screen. It also has 8 GB of memory.

4. PDF, Word, Excel and Power Point document files can be read on Fire.

5. On the Fire you’ll also find a Micro-USB connection, a headphone jack and two speakers. The only button on the Fire is the power button.

This is a basic overview of what you’ll find inside the Amazon Kindle Fire. Some things you won’t find are 3G wireless, cameras, microphone and GPS. It also doesn’t have a Facebook app or a Twitter app, yet. The Fire is best used for reading your favorite books, catching up on your favorite TV shows and movies, and listening to your favorite music. That’s what you’ll find in Amazon’s Kindle Fire.

The Fire is something worth looking into when trying to decide what kind of tablet you’d like to buy. It is new, so there is still a lot of research to be done to determine its pros and cons. You can find reviews of the product on the web and more reviews will be posted soon. As mentioned above, the best feature of the Fire is its price. It currently retails for $199, which is very low compared to similar products on the market right now. How successful the Fire will be remains to be determined.

Remember the video flip from Cisco Systems? Flip was one of the first and most popular products known as pocket camcorders. Flip videos were great, but since cell phones like the iPhone 4 included HD video cameras, the market for a pocket camcorder disappeared almost as quickly as it started. Well, it’s almost gone. GoPro, a pocketable camcorder made for tough outdoor environments, continues to thrive and has been since its launch in 2002.

GoPro is the main brand of Woodman Labs Inc., based in Half Moon Bay, Ca. Prior to 2002, Nick Woodman, the founder and CEO of Woodman Labs, moved back in with his parents. In an effort to get away from his parents, Nick traveled the California coast surfing and developing what is now the GoPro HD Hero.

Originally, the GoPro was simply intended to be a small, highly durable camera that Nick and his friends could take surfing and other adventures with to document their most exciting moments. While talking to people about his camera ideas, they said, “I really don’t want to buy one, but I wish my friends had one to film me with.” That’s when he stumbled upon the key to GoPro, which has made the camcorder such a success: the mounts that attach the camera to all sorts of gear and make the camera wearable and hands-free. When watching GoPro videos, you can see everything from the camera attached to a surfboard to a camera attached to a helmet mounted to the way you see the users face.

GoPro initially marketed and was well received by the outdoor sports community as a way to document the highlights of their lives. In recent years, it has expanded into the new and unexpected market of professional videographers. While GoPro takes very high-quality photos and videos, it doesn’t have all the conveniences of a professional camera and therefore wasn’t marketed for professionals. However, many high-level people in the film industry have wisely realized this special device due to its low cost and high durability in extreme situations. As of 2011, GoPros have been used in 60 television shows, including Sarah Palin’s Alaska, Myth busters, and The Deadliest Catch (to shoot crabs entering a crab pot at the bottom of the sea).

Andy Casagrande IV, a videographer for National Geographic and Discover Channel, to shoot some footage that had never been possible before, also used a GoPro. Specifically, he has obtained footage of sharks eating the camera and the inside of the shark’s mouth, placing GoPro cameras to seal off dummies.

Now I’m not sure about you, but my first contact with the Internet was in my teens, around the same time that ecstasy hit the market. Two massive phenomena that changed the way people party and communicate. Now, I’m not advocating ecstasy, but simply highlighting how they both became popular around the same time, perhaps not for the same reasons. One major difference between them, despite their popularity, is that ecstasy is claimed to damage brain cells and the Internet is argued to increase brainpower. On the other hand, one thing they do have in common is that ecstasy is said to have broken the boundaries of communication: people are loved and accepted; communication or lack thereof, depending on your trip, changed… the internet has changed the way we communicate today… surely that’s ok right?

Not everyone would agree. British professor Nicholas Carr highlights what he believes to be a negative statement about the Internet by stating that Internet use reduces the deep thinking that leads to true creativity. He also says that hyperlinks and overstimulation mean that the brain must give most of its attention to short-term decisions. The vast availability of information on the World Wide Web overwhelms the brain and damages long-term memory. This is because large amounts of stimuli generate a very large cognitive load that makes it difficult to remember something.

Steven Pinker, a psychologist, offers a counterargument that the Internet gives people more control over what they do, and that research and reasoning never came naturally to people, and claims that the Internet is actually making people more smart.

So where is the evidence?

UCLA psychiatry professor Gary Small studied brain activity in experienced web surfers versus casual web surfers. The resulting evidence suggests that the distinctive neural pathways of experienced Web users developed because of their use of the Web. Dr Small concluded: “The current explosion in digital technology is not only changing the way we live and communicate, but it is also rapidly and profoundly altering our brains.”

I guess time will tell how that will play out. One thing I will say is that it is quite shocking how quickly the internet can be picked up. For example, while working in a preschool, I observed how an 18-month-old girl, in a diaper and with a pacifier in her mouth, still without acquiring the power of speech, was able to stand in front of a computer, turn it on. and then she accesses a game that she liked to play. Her attention span exceeded her attention span for singing Humpty Dumpty; In short, she was engrossed and I might add that she was pretty good at the game. So what is this level of hand-eye-brain coordination doing to the brain synapses of a growing baby?

Again, I guess time will tell.

For now, one of the main advances of the Internet since it began to be used is its role as a social media tool.

Surely this should be fine too, right? The ability to access people from all over the world with the same interests can only improve one’s life, right? Well, not according to Evgeny Morozov, who claims that social networks could be potentially harmful to people. He writes that they can destroy privacy, noting that “insurance companies have accessed their patients’ Facebook accounts to try to disprove that they have hard-to-verify health issues like depression; employers have reviewed social networking sites to vet prospective employees; university authorities have searched the web for photos of their students drinking or smoking marijuana. He also said that the Internet makes people more complacent and risk averse. He said that because of much of the ubiquity of modern technology — cameras, recorders and the like — people may not want to act unusual for fear of getting a bad reputation. People can see photos and videos of you online, and this can cause you to act differently.

Social networking sites are also creating an element of people power that sellers have more control over than governments (unless you take a different stance and see that the government controls sellers, that’s another article!), such as Facebook and Twitter helped people organize political revolutions in Egypt, where it helped certain classes of protesters organize protests, communicate grievances, and spread information.

So it’s no surprise that in some countries social networking sites are scrutinized and filtered and in some cases banned. A few years ago, Turkey banned YouTube because someone uploaded a video saying that Ataturk (the founder of the Republic of Turkey and adorned public figure) was gay. For a country that wanted to join the EU, this was perhaps not a good step.

One thing is for sure: the Internet has brought the world closer together and this indirectly leads to changes in the way people interact with each other and how business is done compared to the pre-Internet world. In fact, the Internet has opened up many business opportunities and at the same time has made business more challenging due to the effect of global competition.

With the explosion of the internet, social media marketing is now the future of marketing,

Social networking tools like blogs, Facebook and Twitter bring them to the forefront. Geoff Livingston offers a dynamic definition of social media:

“Social media… is the democratization and socialization of information, as well as the tools to facilitate conversations online. Put another way, it’s the shift from one-way conversations to two-way conversations.”

Marketing has long been seen as distributing information to your target audience, that form of marketing is dying fast. Livingston speaks of this by distinguishing “audiences” from “communities.” And it really is a paradigm shift.

Marketers no longer have the option of treating people like audiences because people no longer have to sit back and listen. People have options.

The hard fact is that marketers no longer have the option to opt out of community dialogue. Dialogue is happening whether we like it or not. We can close our eyes waiting for them to say good things about our products and company; or we can help shape the conversation through our participation and, in turn, be shaped ourselves.

So it’s time to get on the dance floor and be part of the generation that is changing communication, marketing, brain function and probably much more that is yet to be discovered…

Mobile applications have changed the dynamics of the digital industry. The focus has shifted entirely to the mobile domain and the depletion of traffic generated by web browsers is a clear indication that mobile is the new king. Mobile apps have been instrumental in making mobile phones so popular. These applications enhance and extend the functionality of a smartphone by using its software and hardware capabilities in various ways.

With the pervasiveness of mobile devices, it makes sense that mobile devices themselves are key to communications between a cheating spouse or partner. Technology has created mobile devices that are essentially gateways to information (the internet) and communication (email, social media, text messaging, etc.). iPhones in particular are used by many consumers as their smartphone of choice. iPhones are essentially handheld computers, similar to a laptop or PC. As with all computers, digital evidence of infidelity is recorded and stored. To keep the affair a secret, this digital evidence must be hidden from the couple.

Knowing the ways an affair can be concealed can be key to uncovering the affair and catching the cheater red-handed. If the cheater has an iPhone, here are 25 ways the cheater can try to hide evidence of her affair:

1. Create a new email account that is only used to communicate with your lover.

2. Check your email communications with your lover through webmail and not iPhone email

3. It does not save or make your iPhone remember your password or email address/login name for your communications with your lover.

4. Removed links or “bookmarks” to any webmail page used to communicate with your lover.

5. Change your wireless phone bill to “electronic billing” to hide communications with your lover.

6. Use a third party texting/SMS app so that the text does not appear on the phone bill or online details.

7. Save the lover’s name as a fake name and gender, so that calls to/from that person are less suspicious.

8. Use a third-party dialer like Skype or Google Voice to make and receive phone calls so they don’t show up on your phone bill or online usage details.

9. If you use iPhone email to send/receive emails, you can go to Settings -> Mail -> Account to enable mail for your lover when you want to check it, then turn off mail when you are done so that the account will not be show. in your list of mail accounts or “All inboxes”, but you will still keep your settings and emails.

10. Disable location services to make it harder to be tracked. With location services enabled, certain websites and apps can determine your location, and photos you take on your iPhone will have GPS coordinate information embedded in them, which may show they’re not where they said they were.

11. Clear your map/GPS history and address history for the locations you are going to or meeting your lover.

12. Close all web page tabs for websites related to your lover as soon as you are done with the page.

13. Clear your internet history and cache of websites you visited for your lover.

14. Clear your call history for calls made to and from your lover, as well as calls made to hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, yacht charters, etc.

15. Delete your text/SMS history with your lover. If your lover is your spouse’s best friend or someone else, she is expected to have casual contact with the iPhone, allowing her to selectively delete specific text messages.

16. Uses his iPhone calendar to schedule fake work-related or other non-suspicious dates or meetings to have an alibi to meet his lover

17. Use one of the many iPhone apps like “Fake Caller” to simulate an incoming call from your boss or co-worker where you need to meet in the same place your lover will be.

18. Having your passcode set up on your iPhone so that if it falls into the wrong hands, your phone is locked and your information is more secure.

19. Having your passcode set to automatically lock after a specified time.

20. Have your passcode’s “Wipe Data” feature enabled, which will wipe your iPhone’s data if the wrong passcode is entered 10 times in a row.

21. If you sync your iPhone with your computer or use iTunes to transfer music to your iPhone, you can encrypt the iPhone backups that iTunes creates.

22. You can disable automatic preview of text messages, otherwise inappropriate message content or images may appear at the top of your passcode screen.

23. Use iPhone apps like TigerText to delete texts

24. Buy a new phone to secretly communicate with your lover

25. They use a fake password app. The cheater tells the pair the “fake” access code which, when entered, removes all incriminating text and other information.

Regardless of whether the device is a laptop, PC, Mac, or iPhone, there’s always digital evidence to hide if you’re having an affair. If you know what to look for, you can often find the evidence of an affair yourself. If you need to dig deeper to find the evidence, such as recovering deleted text or images or other data, then you will need a computer forensics expert.
