Easily flammable materials such as gases, liquids and solids must be stored with care. Flammable storage cabinets are essential to protect the workspace and workers. Also, the correct fire retardant must be used to match the specific type of substance being stored. Here are some of the most common types of flammable storage items:

liquids

Flammable liquids are known to ignite automatically if they reach a certain temperature. It is practical to store these liquids in an environment that is kept below a temperature of 37.8°C (100°F). If liquids are allowed to reach a higher temperature, there is a risk that the material will give off a vapor that can burn. Different liquids include alcohols, paint thinners, paints, and gasoline.

gases

Flammable gas is likely to burn when combined with air or a similar oxidizer and when in contact with an ignition source. This type of substance can be extremely dangerous even when locked away in a proper cabinet. Even a minute amount of escaping gas can cause an explosion or fire under favorable conditions. Common forms of flammable gases include methane, hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, acetylene, and propane.

explosive chemicals

Chemicals have the potential to explode as a result of shock, friction, or heat. There are even touch-sensitive chemicals that activate even when their storage container is touched or brushed against. Also, there is a higher risk with older chemical stocks that can start to degrade over time. Specifically manufactured or naturally occurring chemicals include nitosomal, haloamine, oxonides, azides, and acetylides.

Oxidizing chemicals

Certain chemicals are known to unexpectedly generate oxygen upon slight heating or even at room temperature. This accumulation of oxygen can cause a fire and cause damage to the local environment. To minimize the risk of an accident with oxidizing chemicals, a specially designed and safe cabinet must be used. In addition, there is a risk that the chemicals will mix if they are stored together, so a separate space is required for each type of chemical. Common types of oxidizing chemicals include bleach, concentrated nitric acid, and hydrogen peroxide.

solid

There are many solids that are highly dangerous. Picrate salt is a flammable solid and is common in laboratories, dye manufacturing, and is used to create explosives. It only needs a small amount of friction, impact, or heat to react. Also, cellulose nitrate catches fire easily and is a popular choice for photographic negatives and older film.

Internet and software giant Google surprised tech industry insiders and Android lovers alike with its pair of flagship phones about a month ago and most people still haven’t figured out what to do with the new ones. Pixel and Pixel XL phones. Both phones mark a complete departure from Google’s previous way of doing things. In the past, Google has sold a variety of Nexus devices for many years. These devices have always been mid-range devices with very attractive specifications for the amount of money they cost. Nexus devices often had a number of shortcomings, but it was worth it for Android lovers because they shipped with the latest version of Android, with no third-party skins. They also got the latest Android releases as soon as Google released them. All of this was enough for fans to overlook pesky issues that were endemic to the Nexus brand, like poor cameras and not-so-great build quality.

Everything changes with the Pixel

However, all that changes with the new Pixel. The Pixel is the first time Google has claimed to have designed the hardware itself, and while the results are somewhat generic, the build quality of the new Pixel phones can’t be faulted. To say that they’re as well built as the new iPhones is high praise, but it’s appropriate. Since most people using one of the new Pixels will be wearing Google Pixel cases and covers, just like with any other flagship phone, the fact that the phones look generic doesn’t really matter anyway. Once the phones are available to buy online worldwide, most people will be looking for cool Pixel design cases as soon as they place their order for the new phones, so that they stand out from the crowd.

Almost all flagship features

In fact, the Google Pixel is the first time in history that even the most hardcore Android fanatic can honestly say that the company has released a phone without compromise. Go to the specs list and the Pixel trades blows with the iPhone 7 and gives very little ground. It’s true that it doesn’t have optical image stabilization, but if early reviews are to be believed, the camera is as good or even better than the new iPhones. The Google Pixel may not be waterproof like the new iPhones, but it does have one cool feature, the headphone jack that Apple scarred at the altar of water resistance. Since most buyers will be investing in Google Pixel cases anyway, water resistance is of questionable value.

Before any stadium or arena can host college tournament games in the United States, there are standards set by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) that must be met. Part of the standards include the lighting of the games depending on the location and the sport being broadcast on television. Some requirements for some games are discussed below.

Basketball

According to the NCAA, all lamps for basketball games must have a standard color temperature of 3600 Kelvin and a lower color rendering index of 65. But since the venues used for the Division I tournament of the NCAA are different, where field houses, NBA arenas and football stadium domes are used, the lighting requirements are not the same. Field houses with the capacity to hold about 10,000 spectators require 125 foot-candles per square foot. NBA arenas with seating capacities between 15,000 and 20,000 require 200, while domed arenas with a capacity of around 70,000 require 250.
Football

The primary determinant of lighting requirements for NCAA football games is television coverage. Non-televised games require 50 foot-candles of light, while games for regional broadcast require 75. If a game is to be broadcast for a national audience, the lighting requirement is 100, while for championship games 125.

Hockey

Standard televised college hockey games are lit with 100 foot-candles, but the Division I Frozen Four and lower division championships require 125.

lacrosse and soccer

Since lacrosse games are commonly played on football fields, the lighting conditions are the same. For a standard game, 50 foot-candles of lighting are required, 75 for a regional broadcast, 100 for a national broadcast, and 125 for championship games.

Baseball and Softball

These two games also use the same field, which makes their lighting requirements the same. For standard games, the infield should be lit with 70 foot-candles and 50 for outfield. Games that will be broadcast regionally and nationally require 100 for base paths and 70 for outfield grass. For the duration of the championship rounds, the course requires 125 infield and 100 outfield.

Wrestling, Boxing and Volleyball

These three games use 80 foot-candles for each standard and regional broadcast, 100 for national broadcast and 125 for championships.

Swimming and water polo

These two games require 50 foot-candles for meets or standard matches, 75 for regional broadcasts, 100 for national broadcasts, and 125 for championships.

Many entrepreneurs believe that investors will fund their “great” idea because it is a “great” idea. In reality, investors will like an idea and may even think it has great potential, but it’s the explanation in the business plan that describes how you plan to execute that idea that convinces the investor to write a check. That is the difference between raising capital successfully or not.

It is your job to explain both the pros and cons of investing in your project. In fact, you have a legal requirement under federal securities laws, so screw up here and you’re screwed. The best way to start your plan is with a plan outline, also called a business plan template.

The template or outline should list many of the categories of information that should be included in your plan. Start filling in the categories by hand. Answer the questions you feel comfortable answering. Don’t guess. don’t lie Later, in another article, we will talk about investor documents. The plan should eventually be included in your Private Placement Memorandum, also known as a PPM. The PPM is a legal document and you will be responsible for everything in it. At this point, don’t worry about spelling or meaning. You can address the latter. List your answers on the business plan outline briefly.

The important thing is to organize as much information as possible on the subject. In those categories where you cannot provide information, seek help. A common example is putting together a financial report. Do the best you can and then seek help or advice. Don’t get fancy or the reader won’t understand.

Don’t use acronyms or shorthand explanations unless you explain what each one means. An example is in this article when I used the term PPM. The most difficult of all tasks in raising capital is preparing the plan. Take your time and when you really think you have successfully outlined all the information, start writing your plan. You’ll also find it helpful to get a sample plan written by a professional.

On our website we provide a 15-page free plan outline and a 35-page free business plan sample. This will help you visualize what level of quality your business plan needs to achieve in order to successfully attract investors to invest in your idea. Keep in mind that the quality of the business plan you write is the potential investor’s first perspective on your competition. If you present the investor with a quality plan, will you have passed the first critical test in the process of requesting their money?

Looking for ways to keep your kids busy? If so, then there is no need to panic buying things online for them.

It goes without saying that children need a lot of toys if they spend all their time at home. You may be thinking that children with more toys have fun and entertainment all day. But having fewer toys has some of the biggest benefits.

In this article, we’ll discuss why minimizing the number of toys for your kids is a smart move.

As a parent, you will know that many toys can have adverse effects on a child’s development. Here are five main reasons why you shouldn’t give your kids too many toys:

  1. Develop an interest in constructive activities

When you restrict the number of toys for your children, you help them develop an interest in constructive activities, such as writing, reading, art, and many more. These activities benefit them immensely as they learn to value the beautiful things around them. In addition, they give importance to conversations while listening to their parents.

  1. children play imaginatively

There isn’t even a single parent who doesn’t want to provide an inspiring environment for their children. But you have to keep in mind that a little monotony is good for them. When they experience a constant lack of entertainment and boredom around them, it encourages them to unleash their creativity. You can get them kitchen sets for kids and they can use their own vivid imagination to play with them.

  1. Toys are handled correctly

When toys are scattered around the room, children don’t pay much attention to them or hardly notice when one of them breaks. Even if they have a soft spot for the toy, they assume a new toy will replace the broken one.

Avoid buying a new toy or don’t replace the old one if it breaks because your kids didn’t take proper care of it or left it out somewhere. That way, your child will really miss the toy and it will teach him a lesson that he should handle his toys well.

  1. Brothers learn to share

Do you have more than one child? Then you will have to resist the temptation to buy two of each toy. Doing so will help your children learn the lesson that they have to share their toys with each other.

When your child has to wait to use the ride on cars for kids in the garden or in the backyard with his brother, he will understand and learn useful social skills. It is important that you (as a parent) resist the temptation to mediate all toy-related conflicts.

  1. no arguments

If you are thinking that having a large number of toys would prevent your children from fighting, then you are wrong. More toys will cause selfishness in your children. If your children are possessive of their toys, it can lead to a serious problem that leads to a confrontation between them.

If you are interested and want to do a little experiment at home, give it a try. For starters, put some toys in the garage for a few months and see how your kids react. Do your children miss them? Does it affect the quality of your game? Are they really putting their toys away when there are hardly any toys to take care of?

A backlink or link is the factor that you use to be taken to another page. These links are the most important, because it is like voting for our page, which will tell search engines that other web pages use your page to obtain information.

The more websites you link, the more you vote for your website, the higher your ranking too. Although not all websites are weighted as well, we need to link to some valuable pages that have a good page rank and domain authority.

So here are 5 tips for easy link building:

1: Competitor Analysis

This is one of the ways you can start your link building activities. First of all, you need to find your competitors in your niche. And analyze your backlinks from various backlink checker websites and grab the links.

And you should publish at least 2 new articles per week, the more the better, as Google will favor websites with frequent updates that contain unique content. And if your website offers good content, naturally, other websites will also want to link to you.

When publishing articles, do not forget to write the title tag and meta description of your articles with principles, and do not forget to include the desired keywords or phrases.

3: Join web 2.0

Joining a web 2.0 site is an excellent method of developing search engine friendly links. If you’re not familiar with the name, web 2.0 is the term used to describe websites that have a social networking component.

Sites like StumbleUpon, Squidoo, and Tumblr generate most of their content from the site’s own users.

These pages contain interactive information for sharing as well as collaboration. You can even add articles that include up to 9 free backlinks per article to your website.

And lastly, get your own networks for potential link building opportunities. Business contacts, distributors, family members, friends, vendors, even your children’s school all have the potential to provide you with a backlink.

I was born on a Monday while my father was playing golf. He was always proud to tell me that. My dad was a salesman—self-made and opinionated. My mother was a clever underground domestic and industrial economist. I can still see the two of them dancing Que Sera Sera on the linoleum floor of our newly built suburban home. They danced through the moon landings, Camelot, free love and the breaking of the genetic code. From my view of the stairway between the balusters, I witnessed the gender gap shift and the “hug and sway” of a cultural revolution.

“What do you want to be when you grow up Patricia?” It was the $64,000 issue of my childhood. I always had the urge to reply ‘How the hell should I know? I’m six years old,’ but I held back and smiled as little girls were expected to. I remember marveling at this curious notion that I could ‘be’ whatever I wanted to be. How was that possible? I couldn’t control what I ate, what I wore, or even what time I went to bed. My mother and I were locked in a persistent fight over puffy sleeves, flowery overalls, and patent leather shoes. How could it dictate my future?

I realize now that when I was asked this question in the late 1960s, I was at the forefront of social change. In 1968 there were 28.7 million women in the workforce and the majority were secretaries, stenographers and typists. Most of the clerks, waitresses, domestic staff, and cooks were also women. But young women were entering the corporate workforce en masse. They were earning college degrees and enrolling in graduate school at the fastest rate in history, and their expectations for the future were changing. Suddenly, women were able to pursue careers in business and management like never before.

So, I was a child in a moment of dramatic transformation perfectly captured in the small talk of mothers having lunch at Macy’s or online at the bakery. Unfortunately, my father did not treat me any differently than my brothers. A small business owner, he saw no gender lines. The women ran his office and my mother ran his books. I remember him telling me over and over that there was nothing he couldn’t do, if I put my mind to it. Her other famous speech was “finding a hole in life.” This was important to him. You may not always get what you want, and you may not always want what you get, but my father felt it was critical that you claim your right to the world and commit to it.

This notion of self-determination was reiterated by my Irish grandfather, whom I remember sitting on the beach at The Warren Hotel in Spring Lake, New Jersey, with a “highball” declaring this to be the greatest country in the world. He didn’t know or care that the drinks brought by the hotel staff cost my father money. And for his part, my father perpetuated this notion of America as the land of plenty and never told “Pop” that drinks weren’t free.

My mother was a housewife. All the mothers of my friends were housewives. They were wonderful women, but I couldn’t imagine making a home and putting up with children like us. So, I dreamed of being a diamond dealer like my dad’s friend Red Haberman, or selling boar’s head meats like Neal Darragh, his other friend, who had the biggest black and red truck I’d ever seen, complete with a giant boar’s head painted on the side.

I had a brief “I want to be a flight attendant” moment that my American grandmother made me promise never to voice again. “Tell me you want to be the pilot!” she said with extraordinarily wide eyes and her hands firmly squeezing my shoulders. The prospect of becoming a business tycoon, an international spy, and even an astronaut also came to mind. There seemed to be absolutely no reason why he couldn’t go where no girl had gone before.

And then there was the year she wanted to be a nun. Apart from the vow of poverty, the dress, the veil and the robe, I felt that I could do that. The idea of sitting around neat wooden tables and eating Entenmann’s coffee cake was tremendously appealing. The nuns at my elementary school painted a peaceful and hopeful picture of humanity. It was so different from the infuriating playground at St. Margaret’s School, where I was routinely ostracized for not liking the Bay City Rollers. “Look, I told you he was a freak,” Diane Kavanagh declared as she bounced around with her parish school folds swinging on her knees. I didn’t have time for a foreign band in funny pants and knee socks. I had to find out what I wanted to be.

My cognitive and intellectual development was forged on rainy summer evenings during marathon sessions of Candyland™ and Kerplunk™ sitting Indian style on the garage floor. And, as I rode my banana-seat bike up and down Sandra Lane, a quiet street tucked into a small cul-de-sac in suburban New York, I found myself at America’s sociopolitical crossroads. I was ‘The Mod Squad’ and sugar free sodas. I was Five Easy Pieces, 60 Minutes, Fleetwood Mac and Aretha Franklin. She was stubborn and defiant, tomboyish and nonconformist, and in every way a child of my time.

He was not aware of everything that was happening in the world at that time, but he knew that there was a terrible war going on. I remember my grandmother’s neighbor on Long Island and the ominous morning when three men with a folded flag came up the front steps. His oldest child had just left for Vietnam. His name was John. He was small arms fire. He was 20 years old, and I can still see the picture of him on his living room wall to the left of the china cabinet. I never looked at that house the same way again. Years later, she still thought of John as he peered through the hedge. What did he want to be when he grew up?

The truth is that life takes us in its own way. Robert Burns famous phrase to a mouse:

The best schemes of mice and men.
Go often crooked,
and leave us nothing but grievances and pain,
For the promised joy!
You’re still hurt, compared to me!
The present only touches you.

The poem is a famous apology to a mouse whose nest the writer disturbs while plowing a field. Burns finally believes that the mouse has the easiest life. He lives in the present, whereas humans are a continuum of all past things. We are a derivative of our collective consciousness, intended or unintended. The mouse never had to suffer in the days before the pocket calculator and the smartphone. I wasn’t dealing with shoulder pads and pucks. He was oblivious to The Cold War, Jonestown, Charles Manson and The Son of Sam. And, amidst the tumult and chaos of the countryside, the mouse was never asked what he wanted to be.

Now I risk sounding like my six-year-old self asking my grandmother what things were like before automobiles existed. When she arrived in New York from Ireland, she wasn’t checking out Car Fax for the best deal on a Tesla or waiting for a freshly vacuumed Uber to go to the guest house. She was just trying to slip smoothly into the domestic life of a Greenhorn. She was grateful not to be noticed and relieved not to stand out. At nineteen, I was still deciding on my college career, while she was gambling everything on a transatlantic steamship, hoping the world would be brighter on the other side.

When I look at human existence through their eyes and the sheer weight of those transformative choices that are often made with our backs to the wall, I realize that they matter the most. My grandmother, my mother, my aunts, and all the women in my younger life did not have the luxury of endless options and gender-neutral aspirations. They were the pragmatic humanists and the accidental feminists who believed that “whatever will be” while methodically clearing away the conventions, restrictions, limitations, and heavy clutter of the past. From The Feminine Mystique to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo… this was the Days of Our Lives. We’ve come a long way baby, haven’t we?

Asbyrgi Canyon is one of the truly magnificent geological wonders that you can find in northeast Iceland. This tranquil horseshoe canyon, stretching 3.5 kilometers and measuring 1.1 km wide; It will not only enchant you with its ethereal physical characteristics; but it will also captivate your imagination by the myths and legends that surround its existence.

The canyon is split down the middle by a gigantic cliff, where adventurous visitors can climb for stunning views of the landscape. This distinctive rock formation is known as Eyjan, which means island. Beneath the cliff, the canyon is adorned with forests, made up of trees such as willows, birches, and mountain ash.

According to a legend, which is still firmly believed by the locals, Ásbyrgi was born when Sleipnir, Odin’s horse, touched the ground with one of his eight hooves. Other myths point to the canyon as the ‘capital’ or main dwelling of the huldufolk or hidden people. These magical creatures that look like people are believed to stay inside the cliffs. Whether you believe the myths or not, there is no doubt that Ásbyrgi Canyon is truly a spectacular site worth exploring. And the best way to do that is to go on a hiking adventure that takes you through the different and fascinating sections of the landscape.

One of the hiking trails in the canyon takes you to a body of water called Botnstjörn Pond. This relatively easy trail starts at the innermost car park in Ásbyrgi and leads you to a set of stone steps that descend to a platform by the pond. From the platform, you can follow another set of stone steps that take you up a small hill.

From the hill you will get beautiful panoramas of Asbyrgi. If you like an even longer but still easy hiking trail, head to the Eyjan Hill trail, which covers a total distance of 4.5 kilometers (round trip). This particular path begins in the parking lot of the campsite. After conquering the Eyjan hill, you may consider venturing into the Ásbyrgi forests. This trail starts at the Visitor Center and is much longer, making you walk around 4 kilometers one way. In addition to conquering this path on foot, you also have the option of traveling the route by bicycle.

it is possible to spend the night in the Asbyrgi camp. The canyon is also equipped with a golf course for those who wish to play a few rounds amidst an incredible geological backdrop! The Asbyrgi Canyon Visitor Center also offers an exhibit showcasing the nature and history of the canyon. But don’t expect to see an ultra-modern office. The center is actually an old renovated barn!

During the summer, park rangers offer a variety of guided tours and activities for visitors. If hiking the trails around the canyon isn’t your cup of tea, another quicker alternative to exploring the area is to take a local driving tour. Asbyrgi is located within the grounds of Jökulsárgljúfur National Park in the northern part of the country. The city of Husavik is the main gateway to the canyon. It’s easy to rent a car here and drive 45 minutes to the canyon.
