If you are a fan of the classic board game but have forgotten how to play the Cluedo game, I have written a brief summary of the game rules. Cluedo, also known as Clue, is a mystery detective game usually played by 2-6 people. It is suitable for children ages 8 and up. The rules are simple and it only takes about 5 minutes to set up. This is a turn based dice game. But this does not mean that this is a game of luck, as it requires deduction and elimination skills plus a certain amount of deception like poker. This makes it enjoyable for both children and adults.

How to play Cluedo

Classic Clue begins with the murder of Mr. Boddy in his Tudor mansion. The object of the game is to find out in which room, with which weapon and who committed the murder. The variables involved in the investigation are the 9 rooms of the Tudor mansion, the 6 occupants of the house at the time the crime occurred, and 6 possible weapons found around the house. To set up the Cluedo board game, the cards are separated into variables, that is, rooms, suspects, and weapons. The cards are shuffled and without looking at them, one card is randomly selected from each of these 3 piles and placed in the envelope. The goal now is for everyone to be the first to exercise by eliminating exactly what those 3 cards are. The rest of the cards are shuffled and dealt among the players. Each of you also receives a detective notebook which is a checklist of all the cards. You have to mark the cards you have in your hand. Then place the 6 weapons in the following places:

Dagger in the hall Rope in the ballroom Lead in the conservatory Chandelier in the dining room Revolver in the study Wrench in the kitchen The other 3 of the 9 rooms on the board are: Hall, Billiards Room and Library. Then place the colored pieces to represent the 6 suspects on their corresponding colored dots on the board. You play with the character piece that is closest to you. The 6 characters or suspects and colors are usually:

Red for Miss Scarlet
White for Mrs. White
Yellow for Colonel Mustard
Green for Reverend Green
Purple for Professor Plum
And blue for Mrs. Peacock

Now, to play the game of Cluedo, all players roll the dice and the person with the highest dice roll starts first. Everyone then takes turns clockwise to roll the dice and move the corresponding number of spaces on the board. The goal is to enter a room. When you are in a room you can make your suggestion, for example”I think it was Professor Plum in the kitchen with the rope. When you make your suggestion, you have to move the relevant pieces to the room you are suggesting. You present this theory to the person to your left. Then you have to refute it by showing them (only) one of the cards you have suggested, so that you can cross him/her off your checklist. If he/she doesn’t have any of the 3 cards in your theory, you move on to the next person. If he/she has any of them, he/she should show you only one. If a person brings you a theory , you must always reveal a card if you have one, but you must only show him one. You can make a suggestion including the cards you have in your hand, to eliminate other cards. This is also a good way to trick the other players about your line of investigation!Eventually, you’ll be able to make a definite suggestion as to what the 3 cards are in the pack. But the goal is to be the first to do so.As you can see, the rules of the Clue game are very simple, so you can learn to play clue or very quickly. You will find it to be a fun game with many hours of fun.

First Time Buyer Mistakes

Many first-time buyers, especially parents, grandparents, or non-longboarders in general, often choose longboard gifts based on graphic design. That is, they find a nice image or some design that they think fits the user’s personality.

What is really important?

Well, while a good ride is important, the feel and performance of this longboard should always come first. So be careful. If you don’t want to be disappointed, you’ll have to do a little homework and do some poking around…

What are the popular brands and intended use?

If your longboarder is an experienced rider, you’ve already been given a make and model. Alternatively, maybe a list of components to buy. If not, however, your first task is to identify popular local brands. And I don’t mean looking at a department store. Some of the best known national brands are: Gold Coast Longboards, Sector 9, Loaded, Gravity, Comet, Arbor, Original or Never Summer, to name a few. So listen carefully to the talk in the neighborhood or at the kitchen table, and make a mental note if one of these names is mentioned.

If you’ve identified a particular brand, then you’re well on your way to choosing the “best longboard ever.” Now you need to identify the intended driving style. Will it be just transportation, downhill racing, a bit of slalom, or all of the above? This makes a huge difference, as each of the brands listed above has dozens of models that have been individually designed, component by component, to deliver the riding experience specific to the riders riding style and purpose.

Designed for Multi-Purpose Longboard.

To cut a long story short, let’s look for an all-purpose longboard that provides a new longboarder with the most versatility and riding pleasure. We will start by discussing the various components to include the deck, trucks, wheels, and bearings.

It starts with a well-designed deck.

The basic properties of a platform are: length, width, shape, flexibility, and truck mounting configuration. Although longboard sizes range from 32 inches to 60 inches, a good starting point would be around 40 inches. The width varies from 7 to 10 inches, but for now I would recommend a width of around 8.25 inches. For the overall shape I would recommend a pin tail (teardrop shape) with a kick tail (the tail of the board is slightly curved upwards). Stability is a factor when you are just learning. I would recommend, a medium flex using a top mount truck system instead of a lower to start. Board construction varies, but I’d stick with 5-7 ply with some camber and concave from edge to edge for better edge control. Lastly, this brings us to the subject of duct tape. For me, this might be where I would avoid the taped-up models and allow the new longboarder to apply their own to customize the look.

Buy “complete” when you buy your first longboard.

Now this part is easy, identifying the trucks, wheels and bearings. Once your longboarder finds his own riding style and activities, he’ll want to customize everything for himself. For now, he must buy “complete”. That is one that already has everything assembled. Each manufacturer has matched the size of the truck to the size of the bed and has taken into account the shape of the bed and overall flexibility. The wheels will also be compatible, usually using a softer wheel that allows for better grip and minimizes unplanned slippage. For bearings, if you see the word bone, then you have found a good industry standard to start with. However, keep it simple. Once you decide on a brand and the platform properties described above, choose any model that comes complete.

the end goal

The goal when trying to find the best longboard gift is to find one that provides a satisfying ride, is popular with friends, and gives the rider room to grow and experiment with the sport of longboarding. And now with this little information, you should have no problem reaching the goal.

The catering team is the driving force behind any catering business. It is crucial that you spend some time planning your operation before purchasing any catering equipment. There can be a big difference between the equipment you want and the equipment you need for the job and selecting the correct ones will contribute to the ease and success of your catering operation.

Here are some tips for selecting the right catering equipment:

o Plan ahead. It is like your mise-en-place or pre-op preparation. Your level of planning and preparation will determine your success. Remember: people who fail to plan, plan to fail.

o If you are a new business, you need to decide how much space you are going to allocate to your commercial kitchen and how much to your customers. The space of the kitchen must be proportional to the maximum number of clients that it will serve. Think of your kitchen as the engine of your catering operation. A small kitchen will have a hard time coping with a large number.

o Decide what type of food you are going to produce. This will determine your equipment needs.

o Set the maximum number of people you will serve. This will help you decide on the size or performance of the team.

o Decide on the design. It’s best to consult with a professional designer, as you need to consider where equipment is placed, service space for your staff, traffic flow, and many other factors.

o Research brands to ensure you are purchasing quality equipment. Base your decision on quality and performance, and then try to buy at the best possible price. Many people try to economize and opt for second-hand equipment. Good second-hand equipment is hard to find and even when you do find it, the chances of it breaking down in the middle of service are high.

o Inferior quality equipment is just as bad as second-hand equipment. Remember that you need to depend on the equipment every day to produce good quality products and make a living.

o Ensure there is adequate warranty and after-sales service with the equipment. Although all vendors perform warranty work during business hours Monday through Friday, it’s good to know they have trained technicians and parts to repair your equipment quickly.

o Take out a preventive maintenance contract with your supplier or have your equipment periodically checked to ensure that it always works at optimum performance.

o Learn how to use your equipment and make sure your staff are familiar with the equipment’s operating procedures. This will extend the life of your equipment, prevent injuries or tragedies, and create staff satisfaction.

o Clean your equipment regularly and keep it clean. Hygiene is very important when it comes to handling and preparing food and drinks.

The above guide should help you select the right catering equipment for your operation. When in doubt, check with your supplier to ensure you get the best catering equipment for your needs.

In this post, we’ll look at some of the top reasons, things to consider for bringing a modular kitchen into your new and existing homes.

They are prefabricated:

While these modular kitchens are designed to your custom requirements and to exact specifications, they are manufactured in factories. These kitchens come in many different units, which will then be transported to your homes, where they will be assembled.

You can design these kitchens according to your specifications, in terms of colors and tones, and materials to be used. Therefore, it is very important that you take the proper measurements and understand the dimensions of your kitchen space, so that you can design the modular units accordingly. Also, make sure your choices perfectly match the theme of your kitchen and home interior.

Premium materials and workmanship:

Modular kitchen design companies will have in-house experienced designers, fabricators and technicians. They work in coordination with each other to develop the design concepts, according to the specific requirements of their clients. They provide a wide range of options on the materials to be used, so that their clients get the designs according to their budgets.

Modular kitchens allow quick installation:

Another big reason many homeowners prefer modular kitchens is because the installation process is quick. Once all the pieces of the modular kitchen have been transported to the homes, the technicians will assemble them and prepare them for functional use.

If you get the kitchen project designed in your home, then you will need to have someone to watch over the works, until the project is completed. Not only will you spend more time building your kitchen, but it will also disrupt your daily activities.

On the other hand, the installation of these kitchens can be done at your convenience. Therefore, it is an ideal option for homeowners, who are busy with their professional and personal commitments.

Modular kitchens are economical:

Since modular kitchen designs can be customized to specific requirements and measurements, you have the option to choose materials based on your budgets. It definitely works out much cheaper and convenient than doing home kitchen construction projects.

If you are buying a new home or planning to redesign your existing kitchens, surely you should check out some of the new kitchen design concepts.

Some of the things to take into account in a kitchen floor are the type of incidents and traffic that occur in a kitchen. There are some types of flooring that would not do well in the kitchen realm. Kitchen floors deal with dropped eggs, spilled liquids, and other miscellaneous masses.

One option is that hand-scraped, grooved and distressed floors can be much more than just a style statement. These types of flooring can help hide dents from jars hitting the floor and blending in with the general wear and tear your kitchen floor goes through. There are styles that make it easy to do your kitchen floor renovation because they can be joined together and “float” in place without the need for nailing or gluing.

When looking at floors, it is beneficial to have a kitchen floor that is non-slip. It is also important to have a surface in the kitchen that is resistant to stains and scratches. If you have babies nearby or are planning a family in the future, you may not want to choose vinyl for your kitchen floor. While some vinyl flooring emits relatively few volatile organic compounds (VOCs), there are still concerns about health and pollution issues when it comes to vinyl.

Stone or tile work great in high-traffic areas of the home, like the kitchen. One of the most durable tiles is ceramic, which comes in various colors and styles. Ceramic tiles also have many options that can be used for decorative designs and/or borders.

If you want to use limestone, remember that it is a porous stone and must be sealed at the time of installation and twice a year thereafter. Limestone is a natural stone and offers an Old World look, however if maintenance is not something you want to do then I would suggest looking for another flooring material for your kitchen.

Wood is a great and popular choice for kitchen flooring. Maintenance is fairly minimal and it can create a wonderful warm look in your kitchen. You can match the color of the hardwood floor to the kitchen cabinets, or choose a lighter or darker shade compared to the cabinets. Hardwood floors can be aged as mentioned above, to help remove dents that may occur. Many of today’s prefinished hardwood flooring options can easily withstand heavy traffic and even water stains. There are also high-pressure plastic laminates that can be an alternative to hardwood flooring, but offer a similar look for less money.

Vinyl flooring can come in many styles and colors, whether in tile or sheet, and is much less expensive. Cork is a versatile and durable material that is also available in various colours. Not only is it waterproof, but it can also help reduce impact noise.

I would suggest that before you lay your kitchen flooring, you take the time to research the different types of flooring and consider your budget. When doing the research for this article, hardwood flooring is by far the most popular choice for your kitchen flooring with ceramic tile coming in second.

Looking for ways to keep your kids busy? If so, then there is no need to panic buying things online for them.

It goes without saying that children need a lot of toys if they spend all their time at home. You may be thinking that children with more toys have fun and entertainment all day. But having fewer toys has some of the biggest benefits.

In this article, we’ll discuss why minimizing the number of toys for your kids is a smart move.

As a parent, you will know that many toys can have adverse effects on a child’s development. Here are five main reasons why you shouldn’t give your kids too many toys:

  1. Develop an interest in constructive activities

When you restrict the number of toys for your children, you help them develop an interest in constructive activities, such as writing, reading, art, and many more. These activities benefit them immensely as they learn to value the beautiful things around them. In addition, they give importance to conversations while listening to their parents.

  1. children play imaginatively

There isn’t even a single parent who doesn’t want to provide an inspiring environment for their children. But you have to keep in mind that a little monotony is good for them. When they experience a constant lack of entertainment and boredom around them, it encourages them to unleash their creativity. You can get them kitchen sets for kids and they can use their own vivid imagination to play with them.

  1. Toys are handled correctly

When toys are scattered around the room, children don’t pay much attention to them or hardly notice when one of them breaks. Even if they have a soft spot for the toy, they assume a new toy will replace the broken one.

Avoid buying a new toy or don’t replace the old one if it breaks because your kids didn’t take proper care of it or left it out somewhere. That way, your child will really miss the toy and it will teach him a lesson that he should handle his toys well.

  1. Brothers learn to share

Do you have more than one child? Then you will have to resist the temptation to buy two of each toy. Doing so will help your children learn the lesson that they have to share their toys with each other.

When your child has to wait to use the ride on cars for kids in the garden or in the backyard with his brother, he will understand and learn useful social skills. It is important that you (as a parent) resist the temptation to mediate all toy-related conflicts.

  1. no arguments

If you are thinking that having a large number of toys would prevent your children from fighting, then you are wrong. More toys will cause selfishness in your children. If your children are possessive of their toys, it can lead to a serious problem that leads to a confrontation between them.

If you are interested and want to do a little experiment at home, give it a try. For starters, put some toys in the garage for a few months and see how your kids react. Do your children miss them? Does it affect the quality of your game? Are they really putting their toys away when there are hardly any toys to take care of?

In general, I prefer to use cotton yarn when knitting dishtowels and scouring pads. This is mainly because cotton is natural, soft and durable. However, over the years many knitters have told me that they prefer to use acrylic for their wipes and scouring pads. So really, it comes down to personal preference; but in this article I’m going to go over several reasons why you might want to choose one over the other.

Advantages of cotton:

Natural. As already mentioned, the cotton material is natural. To be honest, I don’t know if this makes a difference or not, but it puts my mind at ease when making scrubs for fruits and vegetables. That said, I try to stick with the white or off-white floss, as you don’t want the colored dyes seeping into your food either.

scrubbing action. Cotton is gentle on your face, but it’s an effective scrubbing pad for dishes, pots, and pans.

Cotton Cons:

shrinks. With cotton you have to be careful when putting the rags in the dryer because it will shrink the material. So when making dish towels and other cloths or scouring pads, be sure to make them slightly larger than you need. Or just avoid putting anything in the dryer.

Drying time. Another disadvantage of cotton is that it takes forever to dry. One solution I’ve found with dish towels is to simply place them on top of the dish soap bottle. But if you have a hanger handy over the sink, that would work even better.

Expensive. Cotton material is generally more expensive than materials made from synthetic fibers. However, on the positive side, as already mentioned; it’s also more durable, which helps balance it out.

Acrylic Advantages:

Dries fast. One of the nice things about using acrylic yarn is that it dries pretty quickly.

Static. I find that acrylic has a natural static that when swept across the floor or a dresser it picks up dust much better than cotton.

No shrinkage. Acrylic material does not shrink. However, I find that it tends to stretch more over time.

Economic. It is quite cheap to buy in the store.

Acrylic Cons:

Unnatural. Unlike cotton, acrylic is made from unnatural substances. For most people this is not a threat; however, some may experience itching or may even get a rash if used on the skin.

Not durable for hard scrubbing. The thread is not as durable for kitchen or household scrubbing. It’s fine for face cloths and dusters, but for heavy scrubbing needs I’d personally go with a cotton swab.

So there you have it. I hope you experiment with both.
